Job description:
You are a full time senior project manager who manages multiple simultaneous projects for a geographically distributed team spread across five timezones and four countries. You are a good fit because you are an energetic, motivated, entrepreneurial minded individual eager to be part of a small, fast growing company. You are capable of wearing multiple hats and willing to get the job done. You will report directly to the Founding Partner/CEO.
Job responsibilities:
- Day-to-day project management and capacity planning of our geographically distributed consulting team.
- Team building.
- Matching appropriate team member skill sets with appropriate client tasks.
- Organize and track client requirements and progress toward requirements.
- Communicate daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly project plans and requirements clearly to entire team.
- Find the right tools for the job for all aspects of project management.
- Ensure that all team members are properly tracking time and fully documenting progress.
- Ensure proper and up-to-date project documentation.
- Track, document and manage who has access to what client resources.
- Shuffle priorities to quickly handle client emergencies without neglecting other clients
- Keep Founding Partner/CEO informed on project progress.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required skills:
- Experience managing a remote and geographically distributed team.
- Experience with day-to-day project management of multiple projects.
- Experience with capacity planning across multiple projects.
- Being the day to day point of contact with multiple clients.
- Ability to manage client expectations.
Desired skills (not necessary):
- Experience with Drupal and Open Source.
- Experience programming PHP.
- Experience with MySQL.

Job location:
Tag1 is a virtual company with team members located around the globe. We have an office in Portland, Oregon. Depending on your experience working with remote teams, we're open to you working virtually or in our Portland office.
